2nd call for fellowships at Kassel university in Germany:
Under the project [City, Community and Heritage II, Culture Mapping as an approach for Integrated Urban Regeneration and Heritage Conservation Strategies in Northeim and Alexandria]:
Faculty of Fine Arts Alexandria University announces a call for 3 fellowship positions for PhD candidates affiliated to Alexandria University (1 Postdoc and 2 PhD students) to attend the summer semester (from 01.04.2022 till 31.7.2022) in Kassel University in Germany.
Fellowship overview:
*The fellowship is fully funded by the DAAD.
*Full time (8hrs/day for 5 days a week) from 01.04.2022 till 31.7.2022
*What to expect? You will experience full Exposure to the German academic system, you will Attend lectures and modules as a visitor attendee, and you will get access to Castle University’s Facilities (library, Internet, GIS Lab).
*What is expected from you? To Participate in Activities like; giving lectures in your area of expertise, to present your research work progress, to participate in cultural mapping activities, to attend all excursions organized for fellow students, and to participate actively through the 4 months stay. In addition, it is of high importance that fellows are expected to work on an academic paper/article that will be published in an international journal/book that will be developed with the German team as co-authors.
Requirements:
1.Research proposal for the academic paper/article (1000 words)
2.Research time plan (for the duration of 4 months)
3.Case study proposal preferably in Germany or central Europe area
4.Motivation letter (300 words)
5.Short portfolio (3-5 pages)
6.Short CV. (1-3 pages)
7.Certificates (Bachelor, MSc, or PhD for postdoc)
8.Proof of current affiliation to Alexandria University
*Applicants Specialized in the Fields of Urban Regeneration & Heritage conservation on urban scale have a priority
*English language proficiency is a must.
*Affiliation to Alexandria University is a must
*It is a must to have both doses of EU approved COVID-19 vaccination by February and a booster dose if needed (Please attach the vaccination certificate if possible) as it is a prerequisite for Schengen Visa interview.
